Etna Farmers Market Incentives

More Fresh Food Access at Siskiyou County Farmers Markets! 🍓🥕

The Siskiyou County Farmers Market Alliance—including the markets in Etna, Dunsmuir, Happy Camp, Mt. Shasta, Weed, and Yreka—has received federal funding for three nutrition incentive programs for 2026. These programs help families and seniors stretch their food dollars while supporting local farmers.

WIC (Women, Infants & Children) – CNIP Expansion Program-2026

The California Nutrition Incentive Program (CNIP) provides a 4:1 market match.
For every $10 spent using your WIC benefits, you receive an extra $40 to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at participating Siskiyou County Farmers Markets.

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)

SNAP shoppers receive a 1:1 market match.
For every $10 spent using your ebt card, you receive an extra $10 for each market day up to $20 per visit.

Kid’s Days at the Etna Farmers Market 🎈

The Etna Farmers Market also encourages healthy food choices for young shoppers. On Kids’ Days, children can receive a $5 voucher to spend on fresh foods at the market.

Kid’s Days dates:
June 20
July 18
August 15
September 19

These programs help make healthy, locally grown food more accessible while strengthening our local farming community.
